The State of Qatar strongly condemns the Iranian attacks on the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and considers them a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a brazen breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that the continuation of these attacks poses a dangerous escalation that would complicate ongoing de-escalation efforts and undermine political and diplomatic endeavors to achieve security and stability in the region.
The Ministry stresses the importance of immediately and thoroughly ceasing all military actions and assaults that imperil the security and stability of the region, desisting from all actions that would expand the cycle of escalation, seriously returning to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and adhering to the understandings that had been reached through diplomatic efforts.
The Ministry reiterates the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty and security.
