A telephone conversation took place between His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Mr. Johann Wadephul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
During the call, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries and discussed ways to support and enhance them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly the ongoing diplomatic efforts and the joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting security and stability in the region.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the call, emphasized the necessity for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the understandings reached within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, with a view to maintaining regional security, safeguarding the achievements attained, and enhancing regional stability.
His Excellency also reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would achieve sustainable peace in the region.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has discussed bilateral ties and the latest regional developments with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
During a phone conversation, the two ministers took stock of diplomatic efforts and coordination to reduce tensions and bolster regional security.
HE Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy and to implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, including ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, to safeguard regional security, preserve recent gains and strengthen stability.
His Excellency also reaffirmed Doha’s support for efforts to ease tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would deliver lasting peace in the region.

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the Iranian attacks on the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and considers them a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a brazen breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that the continuation of these attacks poses a dangerous escalation that would complicate ongoing de-escalation efforts and undermine political and diplomatic endeavors to achieve security and stability in the region.
The Ministry stresses the importance of immediately and thoroughly ceasing all military actions and assaults that imperil the security and stability of the region, desisting from all actions that would expand the cycle of escalation, seriously returning to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and adhering to the understandings that had been reached through diplomatic efforts.
The Ministry reiterates the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty and security.

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the attempted drone attacks targeting oil facilities in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia originated from Iraqi territory.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs describes the attacks a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity, as well as a breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Ministry reiterates the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and affirms its support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
