His Excellency stressed the need to stop the severe human rights violations occurring in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and all other occupied Palestinian territories, as well as any attempts to annex these lands. He underscored the importance of guaranteeing large-scale humanitarian relief and reconstruction, and of laying the political, economic, and security foundations for an independent, sovereign State of Palestine in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.

HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the crucial role of the coalition in mobilizing global support to ensure the full implementation of the New York Declaration, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, enjoying international recognition and full UN membership.

His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar’s conviction that the Two-State Solution, launched with historic international consensus, reflects the aspirations of the world’s peoples who believe in freedom and human rights, and represents a genuine opportunity to achieve lasting, just, and comprehensive peace and security in the Middle East.
